Sujata Gupta Winfield was born in India. She came to the United States in the 1980s to pursue a law degree at the University of Georgia. She worked in multiple law firms before deciding to open her own firm in immigration law in the 1990s. She spends her time helping immigrants and affectionately refers to them as “the underdog.”
